About me

Architecture - International Exchange - Photography

My passion for architecture, foreign countries and photography started when I went to France as an exchange student. There, I discovered my love for analogue photography. During my bachelor studies in architecture, I started to capture the atmosphere of my surroundings in analogue, abstract pictures. This is when my first atmospheric photos were taken.
During my international exchange with the TU Delft and the CU Cairo, as well as a one-year internship in Istanbul, I was exposed to a wide variety of different approaches to architecture and experienced how cultural and environmental influences shape architecture in different regions.
In October 2016 I presented my master thesis at the chair of Jacob van Rijs
(MVRDV). I analyzed the development of the Berlin club scene and urban remaining areas and designed a new room concept for a music venue.

During my professional activity at "
léonwohlhage" and „Krekeler Architekten", I followed my international affinity and worked on different German embassy buildings (Paraguay, Brussels, Islamabad) and gained extensive experience in the classical planning process. Important aspects of my work were the planning and supervision of major projects, dealing with high security requirements, as well as goal-oriented communication and coordination with public clients such as the German Foreign Office (AA) and the Federal Office for Building and Regional Planning (BBR).

I am currently working as a construction manager on the Atelier Gardens (BUFA) site. HS-Architekten is converting Studio 1 into an event venue and will convert House 1 into an office building. MVRDV has been the lead designer for the conversion.

Atelier Gardens is an iconic 6-acre film campus overlooking Berlin’s famous Tempelhof airport. Known as “UFA Studios Tempelhof” and later as “Berliner Union-Film”, it has been home to the pioneers of film, and has hosted close to 1000 film and television productions in its history of more than 100 years.
Atelier Gardens’ vision is to rekindle the site’s pioneering and creative spirit and open up the space, inviting a diverse range of agents for societal transformation: activists, social entrepreneurs, documentary film makers, human rights lawyers, educators, growers, artists, etc. The site’s motto “Celebrating Soul, Soul, Society” underlines the ambition for a holistic approach to regenerative life in the city.
